Dr. J. A. Parker-Herriott
Dr. Parker-Herriott is a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, PA.
She has been practicing since 1993. She received her undergraduate degree from Mercer University.
Dr. Parker-Herriott is licensed to practice in both Georgia and South Carolina. She completed a Fellowship from the College of Optometrist in Vision Development (COVD) in 1996. This allows Dr. Parker to specialize in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy, and this certifies her as a Board Certified Behavioral Optometrist. Dr. Parker-Herriott is a fellow of COVD (College of Optometrist in Vision Development).
She has spoken to health organizations in and around Savannah and continually provides community services to Chatham County schools and churches.
Her primary concern is that you get the best of care and have a good experience.
Dr. Evelyn Dearing
Dr. Evelyn Dearing is joining the practice as an Associate Doctor in July 2017.
Dr. Dearing is originally from Gretna, Virginia. Her mother was the first to encourage her to become an optometrist as a little girl and work as an ophthalmic technician in college solidifying her career choice.
Dr. Dearing graduated with a Biology degree from George Mason University in 2012. In May 2017, Dr. Dearing received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Salus University (formerly PCO-Pennsylvania College of Optometry), Philadelphia, PA. She has advanced interest in Neuro-Ophthalmic Disease which has allowed her to gain unmatched clinical experience in this sub-specialty. During Dr. Dearing’s time at Salus, she was president of National Optometric Student Association (NOSA), graduated with honors (member of Gold Key Honor Society), and she tutored neuroanatomy and optics to underclassmen.
Dr. Dearing did an internship with Dr. Parker and fell in love with beautiful Savannah and the practice. She is passionate about providing the best in quality eye care to our patients while exceeding all expectations to the patients we serve every day.
